Dubai Chocolate started as a viral sensation. But at Urban Chocolatier, we saw an opportunity to create something that was more than just a trend.
We wanted to make a chocolate bar that was generous, indulgent and genuinely delicious.
The result was our Dubai Chocolate Bar XL, a 450g chocolate bar generously filled with rich pistachio kunafa and wrapped in silky smooth Belgian chocolate.
In 2026, our commitment to handcrafted chocolate dessert was recognised by the Guild of Fine Food with a Great Taste Award.
It Starts With Great Chocolate
For our chocolatiers, the chocolate itself is where everything begins.
Our Dubai Chocolate Bar XL is lined with sustainably farmed, silky smooth Belgian chocolate, carefully selected to create the rich chocolate base for the bar.
Getting this foundation right is essential. It needs to complement the filling while delivering that satisfying chocolate experience in every bite.
Then Comes the Kunafa
The signature element of Dubai Chocolate is, of course, kunafa.
Our chocolatiers combine rich pistachio with crisp kunafa to create the distinctive filling at the heart of the bar.
The contrast is what makes it special: crisp pastry meets a smooth, creamy filling, all surrounded by rich Belgian chocolate.
It's this interplay of textures that gives our Dubai Chocolate Bar XL its character.
Why Did We Make It XL?
Simply put — we wanted to make it generous.

Viral Trend to Great Taste Award Winner
When Dubai Chocolate first became a viral sensation, we knew there was something special about the combination of chocolate, pistachio and kunafa.
But creating something that looks impressive is one thing.

That's where our chocolatiers' attention to detail comes in.
The balance of chocolate, pistachio and kunafa had to be just right with every element working together rather than competing for attention.
Our hard work was rewarded in 2026 when the Guild of Fine Food recognised our Dubai Chocolate Bar XL with a Great Taste Award.
What Did the Judges Say?
The Great Taste judges highlighted the “textural interplay of the crisp pastry and smooth creamy filling”, along with the bar's characteristically thick construction.
They ultimately described it as “an excellent example of a Dubai bar” and gave it the verdict we were incredibly proud to hear: “Simply Delicious.”
